Mac Club Benefit

J.T. and the Tourists, the great retro-rock band from San Francisco, will be featured at the Towne Club(Stadium district)this Saturday. Most folks who lived through the '60's, will remember JT and his bandmates as the band from the greatest era of rock who toured with Biggest names in the music business for years under a variety of psuedonym band-names. I have heard they were on the road touring the world for over seven continuous years at one stretch, did not even have home addresses, just the bus, plane, train, cars . . .whatever, RV's etc.! And they lived! (except for poor Kenny)
In this day of head-banging abysmalness, it's such a relief to hear a band that covers all the hits, (they do play a cou;le of their own records, but never had a major hit themselves. With their own style, the music still sounds like the record. The special touch that only accomplished musicians can give. It still rocks and has a great groove, but no devil worship and no baggy pants that look like a buttload.
